Celebrating Pascua Yaqui Culture and Breathtaking Artistry

The newly unveiled images of Casino Del Sol, Vahi Taa'am—which translates to "Three Suns" in the Yoeme language, distinguishing it from the flagship property on Valencia Road—showcase a stunning commitment to local art and culture. The centerpiece of the new location is a massive 24,000-square-foot mural by Tucson artist Joe Pagac. Covering the interior dome ceiling, the artwork depicts an Arizona desert sky enhanced by programmable lighting that seamlessly transitions from midday to sunset.

"Every detail has been thoughtfully designed to create an unforgettable experience, and this is just the beginning," casino officials stated.

In addition to the spectacular ceiling mural, the property will feature a culturally significant piece by Yaqui painter Marcelino C. Flores III from the Old Pascua Community. Titled Aniam Yo'orine ("Respect the Worlds" in Yoeme), the artwork will deeply incorporate Pascua Yaqui oral traditions and the five worlds that are central to Yoeme spiritual life.

Expansive Gaming Floor and Major Economic Boost for Tucson

Beyond its striking visual and cultural elements, the new casino located at 1055 W. Grant Road is poised to be a major entertainment and economic hub for the region. the opening of this new location is expected to create approximately 500 new jobs in the area.

Guests will have access to a sprawling 52,334-square-foot gaming floor equipped with 928 slot machines and 21 table games. The facility will also boast multiple dining options, headlined by the primary restaurant, OP Grill. The name stands for "Old Pascua," paying homage to the land trust upon which the casino is built. To accommodate the expected influx of visitors, a brand-new multi-level parking garage will also be available on-site.
