(Las Vegas & Detroit).- JCM Global® (JCM) has marked the one-year anniversary of the installation of its groundbreaking ICB ASAP® system at MotorCity Casino Hotel. This milestone signifies a revolutionary shift in the gaming industry, introducing robotic automation and increased efficiency to casino count rooms.

JCM Global Celebrates One Year of Groundbreaking ICB ASAP at MotorCity Casino Hotel

At MotorCity, ICB ASAP processed over 180,000 cash boxes throughout the last year with estimates for over 262,600 cash boxes planned in the upcoming year of operation. Only one person is required to manage ICB ASAP, and all operators in the count room at MotorCity have been trained and supported by JCM throughout the process. Using industrial-grade robotics, ICB ASAP automates the count room, enhances productivity, reduces human contact, boosts security, improves throughput, and increases reliability.

“ICB ASAP is the biggest technological advancement to come to the count room since JCM first introduced its ICB® Intelligent Cash Box system more than 20 years ago at MotorCity Casino Hotel,” said JCM SVP – Sales, Marketing & Operations Dave Kubajak. “Our global development team has a deep understanding of casino operations and an endless desire to create leading innovations for our customers. ICB ASAP is the latest milestone to come from JCM’s spirit of innovation, and we are thrilled to repeat an industry changing introduction of count room technology here again at MotorCity, one of our longest-standing partners.”

MotorCity Casino Hotel Chief Information Officer David Nehra said, “In our fast-paced world of casino operations, efficiency and accuracy remain paramount. The JCM ICB ASAP system is a game-changing solution designed to streamline the cash handling processes like never before. With the implementation of robotics and sensor technology, we remove the human error variable from the cash counting equation.”  Nehra goes on to say, “By integrating the ASAP system into our operation, we are ensuring the overall efficiency of the cash management process. It's not just a machine; it's a strategic investment for the future. JCM has brought us the long-needed innovation to our count room process.”

ICB ASAP is a network of four industrial-grade robots and industry-standard automation equipment that operates in one secure automation unit that meets all robotic safety requirements. Its robotic technology manages the unlocking, opening, bank note/TITO ticket removal, closing, and locking of all cash boxes.

ICB ASAP accommodates JCM’s UBA® and iVIZION® cash boxes and processes up to 240 cash boxes per hour. This means ICB ASAP processes up to 4,000 bank notes/TITO tickets per minute, almost twice as fast as the highest speed count sort machines, making the overall count process significantly faster.

JCM and MotorCity have a long history of creating gaming industry milestones. MotorCity was one of the world’s first casinos to deploy JCM’s UBA bill validator, the ICB system, and overhead Digital Signage Solutions.
