The latest guidelines have been issued to all flight carriers via the Civil Aviation Authority, however arrivals will still need to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine in a designated hotel even with a negative test report. Residents from Macau, mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan remain the only people allowed to enter Macau.

The latest measures comes as one more Macau hotel, Jai Alai, farewelled its final quarantined guests on Wednesday. A total of 437 people remain under quarantine in three hotels – Sheraton Grand Macao, Pousada Marina Infante Hotel and Golden Crown China.
Of Macau’s 45 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the crisis began, 29 remain in hospital with 16 having been cleared and discharged.
