(New York).- The Queens-based casino will make history as New York City’s first venue to introduce live dealer table games, marking a major expansion of its gaming offering.

Resorts World New York City to Launch First-Ever Live Dealer Table Games Next Week

Resorts World New York City is set to become the first casino in New York City to offer live table games with real dealers beginning next week, a landmark development for the local gaming market. The announcement, confirmed Tuesday, signals a significant transformation for the Queens property, which has operated primarily as a slots-focused venue since opening in 2011.

The launch follows the awarding of a full commercial casino license in late 2025, enabling the property to expand beyond electronic gaming into traditional table games such as blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and craps.

According to reports, the new live gaming floor is expected to officially open on April 28, introducing approximately 200 live dealer tables and positioning Resorts World as the city’s first full-scale casino experience.

The move represents a historic milestone for New York City, where full-service casino gaming has long been restricted. Resorts World previously operated as a “racino,” offering slot machines and electronic table games but not live dealer options.

Executives have described the rollout as a “transformational moment” for the property, with the expansion also expected to generate significant employment. Nearly 1,000 new dealer positions have reportedly been created, contributing to more than 1,200 additional jobs tied to the launch.

Beyond its immediate impact, the introduction of live table games strengthens Resorts World’s position in an increasingly competitive New York casino landscape. While two additional licensed casino projects are planned for the city, they are still years away from completion, giving Resorts World a crucial first-mover advantage.

The expansion is also expected to boost tax revenues and support public funding initiatives, particularly in education, as the property transitions into a full-scale integrated gaming destination.

With the debut of live dealer gaming, Resorts World New York City is not only upgrading its offering but also redefining the future of casino entertainment in the largest city in the United States.
