Singapore casinos to re-open on 1 July

The resumption of operations was approved by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Singapore Tourism Board after considering the submitted re-opening proposals from the attractions.

The continued operations will be restricted and working at 25% capacity. There will also be strict health and safety regulations. This includes requirements for both staff and guests to wear protective masks, and the disinfection of equipmentsuch as gaming tables or slot machines. The casinos might be asked to offer fresh air circulation, if possible.

Marina Bay Sands stated they will be limiting the access to the casino, focusing on Club members who have Gold or higher status and Annual Levy Holders. The casino promised, “there will be limitations on the number of patrons at each gaming table, while seats at the electronic gaming machines and slots will be at least one meter apart.”

Additionally, the venue will have Safe Distancing Ambassadors who will ensure there is no unnecessary crowding. Marina Bay Sands also seeks to re-open its ArtScience Museum and Sands SkyPark.

Resorts World Sentosa’s casinos will resume work at the same time as Universal Studios Singapore, clarifying that the activities in the theme park will be “except for shows and street entertainment”. The SEA Aquarium re-opening is planned for 4 July, with four weekly workdays.
