Lexus to Sponsor The Esports Awards 2019

  • Toyota’s luxury car brand Lexus will sponsor this weekend’s Esports Awards 2019 ceremony.

  • Lexus will have three cars on-site, including those featured in Black Panther and Men in Black International, and will film content with “esports celebrities.”

  • The Esports Awards 2019 takes place this Saturday, Nov. 16 at Esports Stadium Arlington.

The deal marks the Toyota-owned car brand’s first foray into esports, and Lexus will have a presence on-site with a trio of high-end cars. Lexus cars seen in the films Black Panther and Men in Black International will be featured, alongside the 2019 Lexus GS F 10th Anniversary Edition.

All three cars will be at Esports Stadium Arlington, plus Lexus will film video content with unnamed “esports celebrities” who will “get the chance to experience [the cars] up close and personal,” according to a release. This is the fifth-annual Esports Awards event, which honors players, teams, content creators, media, and other professionals for their contributions to the industry.

“At Esports Stadium Arlington, we pride ourselves in creating industry-defining experiences for global and regional fans of esports and gaming,” said Esports Stadium Arlington Director of Partnerships, Johnathon Angers. “We are excited to be welcoming the Esports Awards to the stadium over the next three years and to be hosting global brands such as Lexus at our state-of-the-art facility. We are eager to work with the Lexus team in this new venture to support their growing presence in the esports industry.”
