NBA Legend Kevin Garnett invests in eSports

(United States).- The former basketball player will invest in Triumph Esports, a company founded last year that organizes competitive tournaments and has its own team, Triumph Gaming, which mainly stands out in Overwatch.
Garnett’s investment is through his own company, Big Ticket Sports LCC. He had bet on traditional sports before (BTS owns the Hoop It Up three-on-three basketball tour and Kick It Soccer three-on-three tour), but this will be his first one on esports. Other former NBA players such as Shaquille O’Neal, Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Rick Fox have invested in esports before.
Triumph CEO Scott O’Leary announced that Triumph will be participating on future Hoop It Up Events, which means gaming and basketball will be combined. "Our vision is to create unique experiences that impact our fans across a variety of passion points”, KG explained in a statement.
Kevin Garnett played 21 seasons in the NBA. He won the most valuable player award in 2004 and was a champion in 2008 with the Boston Celtics.
