Pokémon world championships begins today

(United States).- The 2019 edition will take place in Washington D.C. until Sunday 18. The championship titles are on the line as well as 500.000 dollars in prize money and scholarships.
The hype is real: tickets sold out last week. The competitors, all of them invited since it’s the only way to qualify for the event, arrived to the US capital from more than 45 different countries.
In addition to the the Pokkén (fight video game), TCG (trading card game) and VGC (official video game) modes, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center will host the first Pokemon Go official tournament, which will start as soon as the opening act finishes.
