(Miami, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Mateo Lenoble, Betradar’s Sales Director for South America, spoke exclusively with SoloAzar during the lastest edition of Juegos Miami. “As a region where sport is popular, the Latin American betting market’s importance is increasing every year”, he said.
Why did you decide to participate in this show and what were the expectations? What is the importance of having a show in Miami?
It’s always very important for us to participate in as many industry events in the region to showcase our services and expertise for the benefit of operators, and Miami is no exception. It was particularly significant this year with the decision to legalise betting in the US. There was obviously a lot of discussion around the topic, and with so much experience in sports betting, data, technology, fan engagement, as well as integrity, it is a really important time to be present at these kind of shows, discussing what we can offer to assist in this space.
What did you present at the show?
We presented a range of products and services that were relevant to both the timing of the show and the types of audiences that were in attendance. This included our Virtual Football World Cup solution, with all the real teams and real-life format of the event, offering all the main betting markets. We also showcased our Managed Trading Solutions (MTS), which is our tailor-made risk management solution for sports betting operators, as well as our advanced streaming services, both for online and retail. Obviously, our overarching focus was on the specificities of the LATAM market, given a lot of interested clients came by from that region.
What product drew more attention among people who approached the stand?
Our data feed services really drew the most attention, especially for US sports with the recent decision to legalise betting there. Not only do we provide fast and accurate transmission for bookmakers, we can also offer all our betting solutions all together as one simple and unified odds feed. This gives clients access to everything they need, from our live odds and full life cycle of odds together with our virtual sports betting and Managed Trading Services, so it provides an excellent 360 degree offering for operators.
How do you see the current market in Latin America in relation to the company?
As a region where sport is popular, the Latin American betting market’s importance is increasing every year. As an organisation which is committed to remaining at the forefront of sports betting and technology, we at Betradar are working to continue to lend our knowledge and services to ensure this development is as fruitful and integrity-bound as possible. Hopefully this will see huge success in the years to come for operators, sports and therefore the industry as a whole within the region.
What balance can make the first half of the year? And what are your plans for the remainder of 2018?
It has been very good with plenty of opportunities both now and for the future. We have a positive reputation around the world that continues to help us to enter new and different markets. It is particularly gratifying when customers come to our stand at events like Juegos Miami and already know about our products and quality. We are continually focusing on listening to our clients and providing technology savvy solutions that will support their operations again to help them from both a financial and integrity standpoint.
Are you going to participate in others shows in the reminder of the year?
Yes. We will be attending the Peru Gaming Show in June and G2E Las Vegas later in October, which are both significant events in the gaming space. We are always looking to new events to attend across the globe as well simply because again, like Juegos Miami, they provide a very good opportunity to meet clients face-to-face to showcase what we do and discuss our latest offerings in the betting space to help our clients deliver the most compelling proposition in their respective markets.
The United States is opening the doors to the legalization of sports betting in the different states. What is your opinion about it?
We see the decision to create a legalised sports betting market in the US a positive development. Not only will it have a broad economic impact and advance opportunities for fan engagement through associated sports data and technology that will help to bring fans closer to the action, but it also enhances opportunities to create a safe and secure wagering infrastructure through the regulatory frameworks.
