Beyond the Games: EGT Digital’s Vision for Sustainable Growth in the Americas
⏱ 5 min read
(Mexico City, SoloAzar Exclusive).- At SiGMA North America, EGT Digital proved it is far more than just a premium content provider. Andres Troelsen, Regional Sales Director LATAM, discusses the industry's shift towards comprehensive tech ecosystems, the importance of tailoring strategies for the diverse Latin American market, and the company's latest innovations. Discover what’s next for EGT Digital’s expansion across the Americas.
The Shift Towards Comprehensive Technology Solutions
SiGMA North America brought together key players from across North and Latin America in Mexico City. How would you describe your company's experience at this year's event, and what was the most valuable takeaway for you?
What stood out to me in Mexico City was the breadth of the conversations we had. EGT Digital is already well recognised for its gaming content, but the discussions at SiGMA North America increasingly extended to the wider technology behind our offering – from aggregation and platform solutions to Sportsbook.
For me, that was an important takeaway. Operators are not necessarily looking at sustainable gaming products in isolation anymore. They are thinking about how different parts of their offering can work together, how quickly they can adapt and how their technology can support future growth. That creates a very interesting opportunity for EGT Digital because we can approach these conversations with a much broader portfolio and build the partnership around what each operator actually needs.
And there is another aspect that should not be underestimated: the value of meeting people in person. We can communicate every day across different channels, but sitting down together, exchanging ideas and discussing opportunities face to face creates a different level of connection and understanding. This is why exhibitions remain so important for us – they bring the industry together and give us the time and space to strengthen relationships in a way that is difficult to replicate remotely.

Expanding Partnerships Through the X-Nave Ecosystem
Beyond general brand exposure, what specific business opportunities, connections, or conversations came out of the event that are particularly relevant to your company?
We had several very concrete conversations around new integrations, both with potential new partners and with operators already working with EGT Digital. With our existing partners in particular, there are opportunities to expand the cooperation beyond gaming content and introduce more of the solutions within our portfolio.
This is where the breadth of our offering becomes particularly relevant. Alongside our in-house developed games, X-Nave gives operators access to a complete technology ecosystem, with modules including our Gaming Aggregator, Sportsbook, CRM Engine and Payment Gateway. Each can be implemented independently or as part of a broader setup, giving us considerable flexibility when discussing the next stage of a partnership.
So, for us, the opportunities coming out of Mexico City are not only about adding new clients. They are also about developing existing relationships further and identifying where we can bring additional value through a wider part of the EGT Digital ecosystem.
A Tailored Approach to the Diverse LATAM Market
Mexico is increasingly acting as a bridge between the North American and LATAM markets. What potential do you see in Mexico and the broader region, and how does it fit into your company's overall growth strategy?
Mexico is an important market for EGT Digital, combining a well-established gaming industry with significant potential for further digital growth. More broadly, we see LATAM as one of the key regions for our continued expansion, but it is important to recognise that there is no single formula for succeeding across Latin America.
The markets differ considerably in terms of regulation, maturity, operator landscape and player preferences. For us, growth therefore has to be approached market by market. It means understanding the local environment, adapting our offering where necessary and, above all, building strong relationships with partners who understand their players and their market.
This is also where the flexibility of our portfolio becomes important. We are not entering every market with exactly the same proposition. We can focus on the content and technology that make the most sense locally and develop the partnership from there. This approach allows us to grow sustainably while remaining responsive to the specific opportunities and needs of each market.
Showcasing Product Innovations and Engaging Solutions
What new products, solutions, or innovations did you showcase at SiGMA North America, and what specific market needs are you aiming to address with them?
We had quite a lot to show in Mexico City, both in terms of new games and the wider technology portfolio.
One of the solutions that attracted a lot of attention was EGT Lounge, which allows players to remotely access and play on real physical slot machines through their mobile devices. It brings together the land-based and digital experience in a very interesting way and shows another direction in which technology can create new ways for players to engage with familiar casino products.
On the games side, Black Bell Link was an important part of our presentation. Black Clover had already ranked as Europe’s #1 New Slot Game for three consecutive months in the Eilers & Krejcik Gaming rankings, and in Mexico we had another great result for the series, with Black Lounge winning Best New Game Release 2026 at the SiGMA North America Awards.
We also presented our High RTP Series, with titles such as Hermes Fortunes 2000, Sugar Duke and 40 Shining Rainbow. This is a different direction for us – standalone games outside our jackpot collections, with enhanced RTP values – and it gives operators more variety within our portfolio and more choice when building their casino offering.
Sportsbook was also a big part of what we presented. One innovation I would highlight is Jackpot Sport, which takes the progressive jackpot concept and brings it into sports betting. The jackpot is driven by live betting activity, so it adds something genuinely different to the betting experience and gives operators another way to engage their players. For us, this is exactly the kind of innovation we want to bring to Sportsbook – not simply adding more features, but finding new ways to make the experience more engaging for players and more valuable for operators.
Strategic Next Steps for Sustainable Growth in the Americas
Looking ahead, what are your next steps for the North American and LATAM markets? Are there any specific markets, partnerships, or trends you’re keeping a close eye on?
The first step after an event like SiGMA North America is very practical – following up on the conversations we had in Mexico City and turning the most promising ones into concrete projects. Some are about new partnerships, while others are about expanding what we already do with operators in the region, whether through additional gaming content or other solutions from our portfolio.
Beyond that, we continue to look closely at how individual markets across LATAM are developing. Regulation is evolving, competition is becoming stronger and operators are increasingly looking for technology that gives them flexibility to adapt quickly. For us, this means staying close to our partners, understanding what they need locally and being ready to support them with the right combination of products and technology.
So our focus is not simply on entering more markets. It is on building a stronger presence in the markets where we operate and developing partnerships that can grow together with us over the long term.
