Castilla y León Council conditions the new date of EXPOJOC 2024

(Valencia).- On April 4, EXPOJOC announced its new celebration date for the 2024 edition. It would be November 6. Initially, October 30 was set, but a series of changes at the organizational level motivated the new date. The venue that will host the event will be The Westin hotel in Valencia.
Castilla y León notified the celebration of its Congress on April 17, setting its dates for October 29 and 30 in Ávila. That is, four working days before the EXPOJOC celebration.
Previously - on November 14, 2023 -, the EXPOJOC organization contacted the Board to inform about the dates chosen for the Valencia event and avoid an overlap in the calendar with the Congress of Castilla y León. The Board appreciated the communication with the objective of “not coinciding in the dates of completion.”
Finally, the Board has not attended to the dates previously selected by EXPOJOC for its event and has decided that its Congress will be held only four working days before EXPOJOC. The Castilian-Leonese Administration was asked to relocate the Congress on the calendar and the response was that "changing the dates is not feasible due to agenda reasons of the senior officials who are going to attend it."
Knowing that the gaming sector is proactive about these events and with the aim of being able to attend both Congresses, EXPOJOC has decided to set its celebration date for November 27.
“The Junta de Castilla y León should have attended to the calendar of events in the sector and not established its Congress so close to EXPOJOC, which had chosen dates much earlier. We look after industry professionals and we want them to be able to attend both events, because both are of interest. Leaving a margin of four working days between one and the other, it is difficult to attend both. That is why the change of dates, so that they can choose between going to Ávila, Valencia or both,” highlights J.Ignacio Ferrer, founder and director of EXPOJOC.
