(Chile).- #CGSLatam 2022 has announced this week through its social networks the participation of important brands in the game industry, who will be sponsoring this hybrid event on the next April 26 and 27, 2022 in the city of Santiago de Chile.

CGS LATAM highlights the regulatory stability of the gaming industry in Chile

Chile stands out for having one of the most stable regulations for on-site casinos in Latin America, as well as more than twenty large operations involving transnational corporations. With the latent expectation of an upcoming regulation on online gaming, the CGS organization selected this country for its 12th edition.

They stand out as the first sponsors of #CGSLatam 2022 BTOBET, SPORTINGTECH, CALETA GAMING, DOTWORKERS, PLAYTECH, RCT, INTERVISION GAMING, EVOLUTION, among others.

So, as it was announced, the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juegos de Chile is the official sponsor of the event. In this sense, the autonomous body, through the Ministry of Hacienda, informs about some important points in the development of games online in the country. “At the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Hacienda announced the entry of the law projects that seek to modernize and make more flexible the gaming casino industry and its operations within the framework of the pandemic and of the new reality of the industry, safeguarding the interests of the tax authorities in the matter, which searches regularly for the development of online gambling games in the country, which currently do not pay taxes, including online sports games, online casino games and other games with betting, with the objective to generate a competitive market, safeguard the public faith, protect the health and safety of the players, increase the fiscal security and transparency of the origins and destination of the resources obtained through these platforms. The Superintendence has collaborated as a technical body in the preparation of this project, which has only entered the National Congress”, said Vivién Villagrán, Superintendent of Casinos de Juegos de Chile.

In addition, regarding other projects that are under the direction of the regulatory body, they emphasize the dissemination for users / clients of entertainment centers about the “Responsible Gaming” campaign in order to be alert if there is any problem with gambling. Therefore, a global vision is required that involves different actors in society.

The organization, aware of the exceptional potential of this territory, began negotiations more than 6 months ago with the main unions, laboratories, authorities and suppliers in the sector to obtain the necessary support and carry out this new edition in the city of Santiago de Chile. The #CGSLatam will be held in a hybrid format. Remote, bilingual and live conferences, as well as virtual expo and presence to facilitate the participation of all latitudes in this important event.

Through its companies CGS Group, InnovationLab and VEE, CGS stands out once again with a large selection of brands, products and themes to develop.

Similarly, Elizabeth Leiva, CEO of the conglomerate that today expands its offer to other industries operating from Chile, commented: “despite the sanitary conditions that can be a limiting factor for the proper development of face-to-face events, virtuality is a great tool to take events to another level, achieve great impact and network despite the distance. In Chile we have the largest casinos in the region, transnational operators and a clear and transparent law that allows a healthy reopening and post-pandemic growth. The expectation for prompt online regulation, in a territory where there are more than 600 betting pages and a leak of more than 100 million dollars in taxes, is the great expectation of the moment. There is an urgent need for a definition and a roadmap in this regard. We hope that this government will take the step that has been expected for so long. Likewise, the new tenders, upcoming licenses and the rearrangement of the street market continue to be unknowns and attractive in a market with high rates of Suspicious Transaction Reports (ROS) as evidenced by UAF reports. These and other situations can be reversed, with prompt legislation and improved oversight. We are waiting for you on April 26 and 27, in the city of Santiago de Chile, 2 days of training, business and network and above all, in a very safe way”, she emphasized.
