EiG taxation and regulation panel asks what’s next for Europe?
⏱ 2 min read
(London).- Delegates attending the forthcoming EiG (Arena Berlin: 30 October – 1 November) will be given direct access to a panel of gaming experts and regulators who will be providing their analysis of changes to the taxation and licensing landscape across key European jurisdictions including the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Italy, Malta, Poland and Romania.
The influential EiG panel, moderated by Christian Tirabassi, Senior Partner, Ficom Leisure, Gaming Advisory & Investments, will comprise regulators, commentators and gaming industry figures, including: Alessio Crisantemi, Director, Gioco News; Rodolfo La Rosa, Italian Partner, BakerMcKenzie; Guillermo Olagüe, Deputy Director General for Gambling Regulation, DGOJ; Charles Coppolani, President, Arjel; Carl Brincat, Senior Legal Advisor, Malta Gaming Authority; Kira Brianka, Legal Officer, Danish Gaming Authority; Adam Lamentowicz, CEO, Totolotek; Karel Blaha, Director, State Supervision of Gambling & Lotteries Department, Czech Rep. Ministry of Finance and Dan Iliovici, President, National Gambling Office, Romania.
Curtis Roach, Clarion Gaming’s Senior Events Producer, with responsibility for EiG, believes the panel session and the access it provides to key decision makers and influencers, encapsulates what EiG is all about. He explained: “Regulation and taxation are arguably the most important issues facing gaming businesses as they formulate business development strategy and investment plans. Because the costs of getting it wrong are so big, the opportunity to sit down with regulators and gain an appreciation of their thinking and the direction of travel is incredibly valuable.
"EiG was established in order to cater for the needs and requirements of the industry’s key decision makers a fact borne out by the attendance data for 2016 which confirmed that 55% of EiG attendees fell into the category of Directors or C-Level executives. There’s no doubt that EiG continues to bring together decision makers from across the entire gaming ecosystem and comprise one of the biggest communities of industry leaders."
Based on close co-operation with the iGaming Industry Council (iGIC), EiG’s 2017 agenda focuses on how the industry can engage with the next level of intelligence, taking advantage of new technology, products and concepts, whilst considering what this means for legacy systems. EiG’s unique platform facilitates high-level networking and learning, connecting with senior-level iGaming operators, Land-Based Casinos, Betting Shops, Lottery Operators, Social Operators, Gaming Start-ups, Regulators and Consultants.
