Esportes Gaming Brasil and Sportradar Integrity Initiative Scales Nationally and Becomes Public Policy

The sports integrity agenda based on prevention and education, promoted as a pillar of the regulated market by Esportes Gaming Brasil, has now reached national scale. The group, owner of the Esportes da Sorte brand, supports the educational platform launched by the Ministry of Sport and the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) to train athletes in identifying and preventing match-fixing in betting.

Developed by Sportradar, the platform is an online training program available to any club or athlete in the country. The company has already conducted training sessions in clubs sponsored by the brand, such as Corinthians, Ceará, Náutico, and Ferroviária. Now, Esportes da Sorte’s pioneering initiative becomes national public policy.

The tool was presented on Tuesday (7), during the opening of BiS SiGMA South America in São Paulo, in a panel featuring the group’s CEO, Darwin Filho. According to the executive, the initiative reinforces that sports integrity is built through education and prevention.

“We believe prevention is the most effective way to fight match-fixing and protect the integrity of competitions. This platform was created to expand access to technical knowledge and strengthen athletes’ response capacity. Our goal is to contribute to a more transparent, safe, and fair sports environment,” he stated.

Aimed at athletes across disciplines covered by betting, the platform seeks to strengthen a culture of transparency and fair play, and is expected to be available starting in May, according to initiative materials.

For ANJL President Plínio Lemos Jorge, the initiative reinforces sports integrity as the foundation of responsible gaming in a regulated market.

“Match-fixing is the opposite of what professional, legalized betting houses want. These are large companies operating in Brazil and abroad, many listed on stock exchanges worldwide. Transparency and fair play are therefore fundamental for the sector, and the partnership with the Ministry of Sport is another concrete step in this direction.”

The platform’s content has been structured into modules and validated by the entities involved, covering the scale of the problem, its consequences, and prevention methods, with reference to standards adopted in mature regulated markets.

Felippe Marchetti, Sportradar LATAM Integrity Director, added: “This partnership represents a fundamental step to raise awareness among athletes and protect those most exposed to risks. At the same time, our educational platform will contribute to training law enforcement, supporting report interpretation and strengthening integrity actions.”
