(Barcelona SoloAzar Exclusive).- Javier Sacristán, Digital & Operations Director at R.Franco Digital, commented to SoloAzar about the upcoming novelties they will showcase, expectations and other interesting topics towards the SBC Summit Barcelona that will be held September 19 to 21 at the Fira Montjuïc, Barcelona.
Can you give us a preview of the new products you will be presenting at SBC Barcelona?
We will present our new games and slot mechanics, certified for numerous markets, as well as the evolutions in functionality and technology of our modular B2B solutions, with the IRIS platform as the centre of operations. We hope to reflect and highlight the commitment of the company and, ultimately, of the people and teams to innovation.
What are your expectations for this edition of the show?
Expectations are high, in line with the expected growth of this edition in terms of exhibitors and visitors. We hope to reach relevant agreements for our products and services, as well as to initiate and strengthen collaborations with different solutions that will allow us to face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
What are the company's objectives and plans in the Spanish market?
Spain is our home, gaming is our essence, it is our DNA. Our digital products have already reached a level of maturity that allows us to compete head-to-head with any international player. Our objectives, and I am convinced that we will achieve them, are in the short term to consolidate a significant advance in market share in both games and platforms in the Spanish market.
Could you give a brief analysis of the impact of new technologies at a local level?
The brevity of the analysis is difficult, as every new technology has a transformative effect on the industry, from the growth of mobile gaming, AR/VR, blockchain, gamification, data..., to AI bring new variables, challenges and opportunities in the sector, incorporating benefits in the various layers of the value chain, from product definition and development to the end user.
It seems clear that in terms of responsible gambling, AML, fraud, etc. the impact is clearly positive. In other terms, economic, business, social, the impact may be different depending very much on the particular conjunctural situations.
What do you see as the potential of iGaming in the Iberian region?
We are all aware of the particularities of the Spanish online market, but even with these, the sector is showing sustainable growth in general terms. Casino games are perhaps the most likely to incorporate innovations that are clearly perceptible to the user and in my opinion these could be the ones that make the difference in the near future.
