Clarion Gaming will be using the reach and profile of its iGB Affiliate brand to officially launch ASCEND 2024, a networking and career development platform for women working in the iGaming and Affiliates sector.
With the twin objectives of growing female participation across the sector and helping with the career development of rising stars, ASCEND will become the home of networking and mentorship. The initiative will be launched at a networking and drinks reception taking place 15:00 to 16:30 hrs on Thursday 8th February in the IGB INTRODUCING feature at iGB Affiliate.
Expanding on the launch, Portfolio Director Naomi Barton said: “ASCEND will provide a network for women in the industry to help develop their careers. We will do this through a number of industry partnerships, live activations at our iGB events, and the provision of a toolkit to help maintain collaborations all year round.
“The 2024 ASCEND launch at iGB Affiliate will comprise a programme of high-energy curated networking facilitated by Saraco, the organisation which serves as a champion for human rights, gender equality and migration. Five women who have been nominated by their companies will then enter the Saraco/Google mentorship programme.
“iGB Affiliate will serve as the launchpad for ASCEND with a subsequent activation taking place at iGB L!VE in July and a founders dinner for partnering organisations. Additionally, Clarion Gaming will provide year-round digital content to assist career development and help integrate the ASCEND proposition further into the igaming industry. Our aim is to have 50 female industry personalities at the launch to serve as founding advocates and mentors.”
iGB Affiliate is set to bid farewell to London in record-breaking style with show organisers projecting that the last edition prior to the show’s relocation to Barcelona in 2025 will register a circa 10+% increase in visitor numbers. Other key performance indicators are also in positive territory with the number of exhibitors and sponsors over 250, (+11% year on year) occupying a total of 13,647 sqm (11,758 in 2023).
