Forbes Italy together with SiGMA World Unveils Its 2026 Top 50 Italy Regulated Gaming

Regulation, Technology and Player Protection

The Forbes Italia Top 50 2026 reflects the transformation of Italy’s regulated gaming market. The selection recognises executives, legal experts, researchers, journalists and technology specialists whose influence extends beyond company size, highlighting innovation, regulatory compliance and industry sustainability.

Among those recognised for their work in responsible gambling and player protection are Stefano De Vita and Giovanni Emilio Maggi of Fondazione FAIR, Mara Di Lecce of Novomatic Italia, and Francesco Rodano of Allwyn. Their initiatives include the use of artificial intelligence, data analysis and risk-prevention tools. The list also features academics and journalists who contribute to research, public debate and a better understanding of the sector’s regulatory and social impact.

Regulatory Compliance and Market Modernisation

The regulatory category includes institutional representatives, legal advisers and industry associations, such as Geronimo Cardia, President of ACADI; Davide Gallino of AGCOM; and Moreno Marasco, President of LOGiCO. The technology and market modernisation category features industry leaders including Marco Castaldo, CEO of Microgame; Roberto Di Fonzo of Flutter Southern Europe & Africa; and Marco Tiso, Managing Director of Sisal. Their inclusion highlights the growing importance of digital platforms, omnichannel integration, data security and fraud prevention in Italy’s evolving gaming landscape.

Honourees to Be Recognised at the Italian Awards

The 50 selected individuals will be honoured with a dedicated trophy at the Italian Awards on 5 November 2026, recognising their contributions to the development of Italy’s regulated gaming sector. Rather than establishing a strict ranking, the list brings together professionals from different areas of the industry to illustrate how regulation, technology, player protection and knowledge have become increasingly interconnected. The recognition forms part of SiGMA World’s event programme in Rome, scheduled for 2–5 November 2026.
