(Copenhagen).- Gaming in the Nordics will debut on June 18, bringing together regulators, operators and industry leaders to discuss the future of the Nordic iGaming market and share best practices across the region.
Copenhagen to Host New Nordic Gaming Industry Gathering
On June 18, 2026, Gaming in the Nordics will make its debut in Copenhagen, gathering key stakeholders from the regulated — and soon-to-be-regulated — gaming markets of Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway.
The event is the latest addition to the portfolio of Gaming in Europe, the organization behind established industry conferences such as Gaming in Holland, Gaming in Germany and Gaming in Spain.
Hosted at Better Collective’s headquarters in Copenhagen, the launch event aims to create a platform for dialogue between regulators, operators, legal experts and industry associations across the Nordic region.
Danish Regulator Confirmed as Headline Speaker
A key highlight of the conference will be the participation of Anders Dorph, Director of the Danish Gambling Authority, who will serve as the event’s headline speaker.
His presence underscores the conference’s focus on fostering constructive discussions between regulators and industry representatives at a time when several Nordic markets continue to evolve their regulatory frameworks.
Leading Industry Executives Join Speaker Line-Up
The launch event will feature an extensive roster of senior executives and industry experts, including:
- Pontus Lindwall, CEO of Betsson
- Jesper Søgaard, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Better Collective
- Morten Ronde, CEO of the Danish Online Gambling Association (DOGA)
- Fredrik Stenstrøm, Secretary General of the Norway Association for Online Gaming (NBO)
- Pekka Ilmivalta, Head of Office at Nordic Legal Finland
- Birgitte Sand, CEO of Birgitte Sand & Associates
- Josh Hodgson, COO of H2 Gambling Capital
- Peter-Paul de Goeij, Managing Consultant at QuodBonum.se and event chair
Industry Leaders Emphasize Regulatory Dialogue
Gaming in the Nordics founder Willem van Oort welcomed the participation of Anders Dorph, highlighting the value of direct communication between regulators and industry stakeholders.
According to van Oort, while Nordic gaming markets differ in terms of regulatory maturity and market structure, they share several common challenges and opportunities. He noted that the conference is intended to facilitate the exchange of lessons learned, regulatory insights and best practices across the region.
Launch Event Marks First Step Toward Annual Conference
The 2026 edition will be organized as an exclusive half-day conference with limited attendance capacity.
Organizers have confirmed that this inaugural event will serve as the foundation for a larger annual Gaming in the Nordics Conference, which is scheduled to become a recurring event in Copenhagen starting in 2027.
Recorded Sessions and Sponsorship Opportunities Available
Selected conference sessions will be recorded and distributed to members of the Gaming in the Nordics community, allowing industry professionals who cannot attend in person to access key discussions and insights.
The organizers also confirmed that sponsorship and media partnership opportunities remain available for companies seeking visibility within the Nordic gaming sector.
With growing regulatory developments across Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway, Gaming in the Nordics is positioning itself as a new platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing and market analysis in one of Europe’s most dynamic gaming regions.
