GAT Expo Mexico: Uniting the Gaming Industry Ahead of the World Cup

The Mexican gaming industry prepares for the Football World Cup

As the countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup begins, Mexico is buzzing with great expectations and dynamism around the gaming industry and online betting platforms. The proximity of the world’s most important sporting event, and the fact that the Aztec nation is one of the three tournament hosts, has intensified the interest of operators, suppliers, and international brands in strengthening their presence in the market.

The digital boom is joined by the in-person experience, which continues to play a leading role in the behavior and imagination of the Mexican people. The country currently has more than 450 legal gaming halls operating nationwide, offering world-class entertainment in physical casinos, which are renewing their sportsbooks to welcome national and international fans this summer with an incredible and varied program.

Opening Networking at Big Bola Casino

The program kicks off on May 12 with the Opening Reception at Big Bola Santa Fe Casino, a networking space designed to foster meetings among leading executives, in an environment curated by entertainment experts. The evening will mark the beginning of three days focused on business generation, commercial alliances, and operational expansion at a historic and pivotal moment for Mexico’s vast market.

ALEA Seminar and Corporate Conferences

GAT Events’ interest in promoting training spaces is evident with the inclusion of the seminar led by Professor Maximiliano Ayala, specialized in transforming the traditional model into omnichannel entertainment ecosystems. The training will address casino transformation, customer experience improvements, omnichannel strategies, and the evolution of physical and digital entertainment. Academic sessions will take place on May 13 and 14 at Expo Santa Fe, with the participation of operators and executives from licensees and sports betting operators. The academic program includes corporate conferences from GLI, BETBY, GAMANZA ENGAGE, and BYADS.

Exhibition Stands

The exhibition will be held on May 13 and 14 in Hall B of Expo Santa Fe convention center. The stands will be open from 10 am to 4 pm, showcasing solutions for land-based casinos, online platforms, payment systems, sports betting, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and technologies applied to operations and user loyalty.

As of today, attendance records indicate that entrepreneurs will arrive mostly from Mexico and 21 other countries, including the United States, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Spain, China, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Israel, France, Czech Republic, Chile, Ecuador, and Armenia. They will interact at Expo Santa Fe with representatives of the sponsoring and exhibiting brands:

Central Central Gastronomic Networking

A very special event is scheduled for the afternoon of May 13 with a dinner at Central Central Restaurant in the Santa Fe district, starting at 5 pm. The gastronomic experience “Gathering & Ronqueo” is designed to create and strengthen business ties among executives and participating brands, in a close and exclusive setting with a privileged sunset view.

“GAT Expo Mexico, a professional event tailored to the market” José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT Events, stated: “After the hard work we have carried out to adapt to the current moment of the gaming industry in Mexico in 2026, we are confident we have found the right format—highly commercial, tailored to the current needs of the Mexican market, with express solutions at hand. In addition, we continue advancing our goal of promoting training sessions throughout Latin America for industry professionals. I am pleased to announce a major alliance with ALEA to deliver a high-level, certified seminar focused on omnichannel and integration. I thank SINTOLED, AIEJA, and large and medium-sized casino groups in Mexico for their interest in this course, which provides invaluable content to the sector. Likewise, my recognition to the sponsors of GAT CDMX: Pragmatic Play, Big Bola, and Aristocrat. I also highlight the involvement of Merkur Mexico with its extraordinary portfolio of casino machines and Prometeo IT with its innovations for land-based and online casinos.”

Thus consolidating the proposal of a commercial showcase for direct interaction among industry leaders, with an agenda designed to facilitate productive meetings and real business opportunities in the Mexican market.
