GAT Events successfully held its recent edition in Mexico City, earning a high rating with two days of academic sessions, the launch of FIJA (International Federation of Games of Chance), and strong representation from the local industry, which, according to registration data, included 153 companies and 535 delegates.
On August 27 and 28, Expo Santa Fe was dressed for the occasion with impeccable stages and setup, bringing together more than 55 speakers in an institutional academy and workshops unprecedented in gaming industry fairs and events in Mexico and Latin America. Authorities from Mexico, Colombia, Paraguay, Uruguay, the AIEJA, Fecoljuegos, Cornazar, Apoja, ADCJ, Cibelae, and Sonaja associations, as well as executives from multinational companies and supplier, operator, and consulting firms, were among the speakers and expert panelists who spoke and shared their ideas over two days before an audience of 400 gaming and technology professionals.

The packed agenda addressed topics requiring priority regulatory advances, such as solutions for importing or producing machines in the country, updating online gaming regulations in line with its exponential growth, and decisive action to combat illegal gambling. This task is considered essential by all participants and to which they are willing to provide their full support and commitment.
After the intense and productive academic session of the first day, the Association of Licensees and Operators of Gambling in Mexico, a strategic partner of GAT Expo CMDX, held its 54th General Assembly, meeting the proposed objectives and confirming the support of its members, which include major Mexican companies and regional suppliers. The day concluded with a networking event at the Big Bola Casino in Santa Fe, an ideal opportunity to share music, cocktails, and food with peers, partners, and friends.

Online Gaming Workshops: Innovation and the Digital Future
The workshops demonstrated that the future of the ecosystem is completely linked to technology and digital transformation. The focus on international payments, stablecoins, and cryptocurrencies demonstrated the urgency of implementing secure and global financial solutions. Google's participation and the inclusion of YouTube as a branding platform highlighted the power of digital marketing to attract new audiences, while the space dedicated to eSports and betting confirmed the exponential growth of a segment that connects younger generations with new forms of entertainment.
In turn, presentations on omnichannel strategies, slot trends, and predictive artificial intelligence highlighted how the integration of technological tools boosts operational efficiency and strengthens operators' competitiveness in an increasingly demanding market. Overall, the content demonstrated that digital innovation is currently driving gaming and betting in Latin America.

Regarding this, José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT Events, comments: “With the support of Dr. Miguel Ángel Ochoa and distinguished Mexican lawyers such as Carlos Portilla and Alfredo Lazcano, whom I thank for their generous collaboration, we responded to the demand for topics to be included and for specialists eager to contribute their knowledge and experience. Thus, we decided to extend the academic session under a complementary format on the second day of the fair, including a full program of practical workshops.”
I congratulate and thank Fecoljuegos for its leadership, curatorship, and motivation in achieving the approval of those convened for the creation of FIJA during the Latin American Associations Summit, undoubtedly an unprecedented achievement that will entail opportunities, challenges, and shared goals. I also highlight the contributions made by the consulting firm Vásquez & Asociados to the workshop on money laundering prevention and control, which addressed in-depth regulatory challenges and developments in Mexico, Colombia, and other jurisdictions. Compliance officers from AIEJA members and other companies in the region attended. The combination of strategic vision and practical training reflects GAT's commitment to consolidating its position as a knowledge center, thus boosting Mexico's position as a regional gaming hub in Latin America.
