GAT EXPO to organize four eSports tournaments next week

On Wednesday, April 10, the curtain will open with the F1 and Valorant championships, the first to be held on the emblematic virtual F1 track and the Valorant one with prizes totaling 10 million pesos.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, April 11, the participants of the efootball tournament, organized by the Colombian Federation of Electronic Sports Fedecolde, will jump into the GAT EXPO arena, in the Santamaría Hall.

Esports, constantly growing within digital entertainment, represent a mix of competition and cutting-edge technology. Players, regardless of their level, immerse themselves in a variety of challenges and encounter everything from tactical confrontations to virtual sports worlds and races that imitate reality.

The F1 tournament will be held in three stages: Practice-Qualification and a Long Race. Likewise, qualifying rounds will be played with four drivers for each series. The F1 GAT Expo Cartagena 2024 champion will emerge from the confrontation between the winners of the eliminatory rounds, who will meet in a valid 15-minute match in an all-out race for the title.

On the same Wednesday, Valorant participants will be competing for the final of the GAT ACE Cup -Association of eSports Clubs, the most prominent Valorant event in the Colombian Caribbean, which aspires to become the undisputed star of the EXPO, thanks to the GAT production in collaboration with the ACE eSports Club Association and the participation of 8 clubs and more than 40 proplayers who will compete in 13 previous matches in hybrid format.

The Valorant qualifiers will be advanced digitally, but the grand final will be in the GAT arena, at the Las Américas Convention Center in Cartagena, where the finalists will fight for the grand prize.

“At GAT Expo, eSports are much more than tournaments. They are meetings where strategy and technology come together. Our objective is clear: we want to be leaders. We want to bring Latin America to the forefront of this exciting sector,” GAT organizers say.
