Advancing AI in Regulatory Operations

During the recent International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) Conference held in Lima, Peru, Ian Hughes, Chief Revenue Officer at GLI, took center stage to explore how emerging technology can safely transform industry oversight. As part of the panel session "Artificial Intelligence: Practical Tools, Real Safeguards, and Responsible Use", Hughes shared critical insights on how artificial intelligence can streamline regulatory operations through practical applications.

The discussion centered around realistic, regulator-led implementations designed to deliver concrete operational value while prioritizing appropriate safeguards and responsible adoption. Key use cases highlighted during the session included document review, anomaly detection, triage, translation, intelligence support, and governance.

Collaborative Perspectives on the Future of Gaming Oversight

The panel discussion was moderated by Charmaine Hogan of Playtech and brought together a diverse group of industry experts to debate the future trajectory of gaming compliance. Alongside Hughes, the session featured contributions from Mark Pace, representing the International Gaming Standards Association (IGSA), and Rasmus Kjaergaard, Chief Executive Officer of Mindway AI, providing a well-rounded outlook on technological evolution within the sector.
