⏱ 2 min read
(London, SoloAzar Exclusive).- ICE London recently concluded its last edition in London Excel. James Illingworth, Vice President of Sales EMEA at GLI Europe, took the opportunity to talk with SoloAzar about the firm’s aim, the future of technology, AI, and the full regulatory compliance services to help attendes, customers, and potential customers from all over the world.
Regarding the recent ICE London event, James Illingworth, VP Sales at GLI EMEA commented on the firm's aim: “To help attendees navigate the future of gaming, GLI presented their full compliance services that consist of four overarching categories: regulatory compliance, technical compliance, end-to-end testing, and full lifecycle compliance.
He added: “Our aim is always to try and simplify the vast and complex landscape of compliance and testing. Integrated compliance solutions can help smaller or new companies understand what support is out there and provide them with the tools they need to comply with their regulatory and technical obligations.”

Talking about their presence at this edition of ICE in London, James reviewed and detailed the following: " ICE is one of the biggest gaming shows in the world, and having a strong presence at ICE from our global team is part of GLI’s ongoing commitment to having real-time, face-to-face interactions with their clients, no matter where in the world they conduct business.”
He also highlighted the fact that they had a packed agenda of meetings: “Whether the client’s focus was land-based gaming, iGaming, lottery, sports betting, or cybersecurity, the GLI group of companies, including Bulletproof and SIQ, were present on the stand to offer a fully integrated service.”
The VP sales took this opportunity to comment about the regular business of GLI: "not just at ICE but throughout the year, we onboard new companies and take them through the process of having their products certified for the regulated markets their commercial opportunities arise from.”

When being asked about the future of the industry, and how is GLI preparing for it, Mr. Illingworth answered and explained: “AI will play a greater role in the industry, which will require strong compliance programs around both its technology and governance.
We have already seen regulatory bodies established in Spain for the regulation of AI, and the White House, along with the U.S. Department of Commerce, has released regulations and guidelines for the use of AI in certain industries.”
“GLI has been and is in the process of developing evaluation frameworks for the use of AI in the gaming industry around specific applications such as AML and responsible gaming. GLI has a strong skill set around the data and systems used in the industry, along with a strong mathematics department that forms the strong base to effectively navigate such trends within our industry.”
Finally, and related to the AI, the VP Sales, James Illingworth accurate the following: “We have deployed AI in various testing methodologies in our labs around the world. Perhaps the most notable is our Testing Automation Center in our Las Vegas lab, where for the past seven years, we have used the system to test highly complex technologies and have further sped testing results for our clients”.
