Great exhibitors, speakers and networking at the second day of G2E Las Vegas 2021

A few hours before the beginning of the show, members of the different exhibiting companies showed their enthusiasm on the social networks: "We are really looking forward to attending G2E Vegas 2021 and meeting you all in person!", said Evo GLobal on Twitter.

Continent8 said: "We are at the @G2Eshows in Las Vegas this week. Senior members from our team will be present and on hand to talk about your hosting, connectivity, cloud and security needs at Booth #2413 - come say Hi!".

"The Intelitics team is attending The Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas this week! Don’t miss out on the chance to catch up with Allan Petrilli, VP of Sales & Growth, Allan Stone, CEO, and Matt Lawless, VP of Operations", published the firm on Twitter. Besides, 888holdings PLC. shared in Twitter the information about the webinar in which its Senior VP, Head of US shares his thoughts.

These were two of the roundtables held yesterday:

Experts consult looking glass, foresee prosperity

“Looking at the Crystal Ball: The Gaming Industry’s Path Forward,” a roundtable held on opening day of Global Gaming Expo at the Venetian Expo Center in Las Vegas. Weighing in on the topic were Vici Properties President John Payne, Union Gaming co-founder Bill Lerner, and Penn National Gaming Vice President of Business Intelligence Kate White.

Queried by moderator Michael Soll as to how the gaming industry over the next three decades would compare to that of the past 30 years, Lerner replied, “If I were a betting man, I’d say the lion’s share of revenue from these buildings will remain where it is today.” He added the igaming sector would be “rather large,” but not comparable to brick-and-mortar casinos, despite convergences of gaming and media symbolized by the renaming of the Superdome in New Orleans after Caesars Entertainment.

Much of the discussion centered on the growth of casinos as a real estate investment opportunity, as epitomized by last week’s $5.6 billion sale of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Tribal gaming recovering from COVID impact, still faces challenges to sovereignty

Indian gaming survived the pandemic with lower-than-expected losses, thanks to tribal leaders’ early emphasis on public-health measures despite flak they received, four executives said Monday.

Now, more than 18 months after the first casino closures, the tribal sovereignty that allowed Indian casinos to reopen before their commercial counterparts is being questioned again amid the expansion of online gaming and mobile sports betting.
