´In global terms, MGR is expanding a lot´: Guido Rizzo, MGR Casino Chairs
⏱ 3 min read
(Rimini, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Guido Rizzo, General Director of Global Sales of MGR Casino Chairs, analyzed the current situation of the company and the markets in which it participates. "We do many fairs around the world, but coming to ENADA is a bit like coming home," he added about his recent participation at the show.
"MGR Casino Chairs, a company that makes chairs for casinos, bingo and slot machines. We are Italian, that is why ENADA is a very important fair for us because it represents our sector, and it is a good sector, it is very large and important, because in Italy there are more than 350,000 land-based devices alone," Rizzo said.
"It is a recent fair after a pandemic, and it is logical that some people have some difficulty because some customers cannot actually enter the show, but from our side we sell a good number of chairs here in Italy, and Germany is an important market. in terms of numbers, it is approximately 10-15% of all our global turnover. This is a time above all to meet people, see each other, greet each other, with people who in some cases are not only clients but also friends, because We have known each other for a long time. And for us, coming to ENADA is a bit like coming home, we do many fairs around the world, but coming here is like home".
When asked about the Italian market, he says that it is very changed by the recent crisis. "10 years ago I had many very small operators, who did very traditional, very territorial work. And at this time, a little because of political issues, a little because of taxes and a little because of the pandemic, many sold their business to operators larger ones, for example, the merger of Gamenet and Lottomática, is a very clear example of how the orientation is towards very large businesses that have a large portion of the market and that have a more operational dialogue with the political part. For us, in some way it is better because we offer chairs, and it is better to offer them to a customer who orders a larger quantity of chairs, than with 10 different customers, but on the other hand it is more difficult, because a single customer who buys a lot also ask for a cheaper price. The German market, on the other hand, is important in terms of numbers. In Italy there are more machines than in Spain, Germany or France, but in numerical terms, Germany is very important."
Regarding the strategies of the firm, he said: "In global terms, the company is expanding a lot; with the pandemic we worked a lot in the last two years with Ukraine. We were one of the few companies with the collaboration of a commercial agent in that country, we do a lot of work on the new Ukrainian market, and unfortunately with the current situation, the market has been completely closed. Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria). We are trying to distribute a little in the German market, which, like in Italy, has been a bit affected by the general situation. We work in France, a market that has always gives opportunities, and we have a new collaboration in Singapore, Asia, which can give us a greater opening within a territory that is not easy due to Chinese competition".
"Our company is present at NIGA from April 17 to 21. We already have an office in Las Vegas to work with our American clients and we will hold meetings with tribal casinos, which is a very important market for us," he concluded.
