Integrity and innovation in sport: IBJR panel at the SBC 2025 Summit

The event will bring together important representatives of the sector, who will have access to a programme of conferences and workshops focused on the main trends, challenges and opportunities for the market after regulation. Among the names already confirmed are Carolina Yumi, Undersecretary of the Secretariat of Prizes and Gambling of the Ministry of Finance, and Senator Irajá Abreu.

In its participation, the IBJR will address priority issues for the maturation of the market and for the construction of a safe and sustainable environment, based on the best global practices of responsible gaming.

On the 27th, IBJR CEO André Gelfi will explore the fundamental role of technology and innovation in the panel ‘Tech Talk: Where Innovation Meets Regulation’, in which he will discuss the use of technology for the evolution of the Brazilian market. Gelfi will discuss how artificial intelligence tools, data and automated systems can strengthen betting transparency and security, as well as contribute to consumer protection and the integrity of sporting competitions.

“Adopting new technologies is not only a regulatory necessity, but a differentiator for operators who act responsibly. At IBJR we believe that innovation must be continuous, allowing the industry to evolve in a sustainable way. The development of tools such as facial recognition and surveillance systems are examples of how the industry can anticipate risks and provide a safe environment,” explains André Gelfi.
