(London).- Artificial intelligence-powered translation platform Unbabel has established a strategic alliance with UK-based iLottery provider LOT.TO to help to drive new opportunities for both companies in the online gambling sphere. The newly formed alliance will be showcased at this year’s ICE London (6-8 February, ExCeL London, UK), the world’s most international gaming event, with both companies exhibiting from Stand N9-206.

LOT.TO forms strategic alliance with translation innovator Unbabel ahead of ICE London

Lisbon-headquartered Unbabel, which counts Scale Venture Partners, Microsoft Ventures, Salesforce Ventures and Samsung NEXT among its high-profile investors, sees huge potential in the $279 billion global gambling industry, and particularly the iLottery sector, which is currently growing at around 13% annually.

“With global gaming revenues set to hit $635bn by 2020 and most online operators doing business in multiple languages, we are keen to expand our horizons in the sector,” said Edmund Ovington, VP for Global Alliances at Unbabel. “We see the strategic alliance with LOT.TO as a key stepping stone in building a presence in the gambling sector, where iLottery accounts for almost 30% of total revenues.”

Licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, LOT.TO is a pure digital specialist and B2B lottery partner to some of the biggest regulated gambling companies in the world. The company’s products include cloud-based lottery games, player management system and an iLottery platform, which can be used independently or to augment the offering of existing gambling operators.

“All good gambling websites need effective and rapid translation for both content and customer service, which is why LOT.TO and Unbabel make the perfect combination,” said Andrew Lindley, Co-founder of LOT.TO. “Through our global networks, we will be able to bring Unbabel’s AI-powered human translation to a wider gaming audience, offering a truly world-class omni-channel solution.

“With the Chinese online gaming market alone expanding by 50% in 2016-17, the potential for growth is clear, which means that the requirement for rapid, reliable and efficient translation into multiple languages is only going to increase. With LOT.TO expanding rapidly in key global markets, working with many new and established gambling brands, the ability to deliver Unbabel as a ready-made translation solution makes perfect sense.”

LOT.TO will be showcasing its own iLottery products and the Unbabel service offering at ICE London from Stand: N9-206. To book a demo, visit: https://lot.to/book-a-demo/.
