(Las Vegas, SoloAzar Exclusive).- In dialogue with SoloAzar, Joe López, CEO of AMG, the organizer of the Peru Gaming Show (PGS) after its participation in G2E 2026 in Las Vegas, analyzes the main technological trends in the sector and the growing influence of artificial intelligence on the future of gaming. In addition, it highlights the evolution of the casinos' business model towards comprehensive entertainment experiences and explains how PGS seeks to strengthen the presence of land-based gaming in its next edition, bringing the latest innovations to Lima and promoting greater integration between the different segments of the industry.

Peru Gaming Show after G2E 2026: "Our mission is to keep the industry united"

G2E 2026: a meeting point for manufacturers and operators

"As always, it is a pleasure for us to visit G2E and meet our customers and potential new customers. It gives us the opportunity to visit many customers under one roof and establish links with operators and suppliers.

We met with machine builders, which were our main target. For PGS, the unity of the industry is a priority, so the meetings with the manufacturers allowed us to know first-hand their expectations for the year 2027."

Artificial intelligence and innovation: the trends that mark the future of gaming

"Every year that we arrive at G2E we find new developments, novelties and a desire to disrupt the future, in line with the advances demanded by the market.

In this context, artificial intelligence and how it will affect the future of the game seem to be the topics that interest everyone the most today. On that basis, we are already planning an event to inform our customers and expand their knowledge."

Las Vegas and the transformation of casinos towards integral entertainment

"I think it's changing the mindset that a casino is solely a place to play and make money through players. Today, Las Vegas' revenue from entertainment is greater than that generated from gambling.

Casinos are more open and brighter, and the offer of activities for the player – entertainment events, restaurants, swimming pools and other proposals – is much more important today than it was a few years ago. This is also closely related to the new generations of customers and their ages."

Networking and new opportunities for face-to-face gaming

"As I mentioned earlier, we had the opportunity to meet with many machine manufacturers and some representatives of online gambling.

Las Vegas is one of the fairs where one of the largest presences of land-based gaming companies and brands is observed. Therefore, it represents a great opportunity to establish contacts and talk about what currently exists and what is to come in this line of business."

PGS seeks to bring the latest innovations in the market to Lima

"We always try to inform PGS visitors about the most important issues affecting their businesses and about opportunities to increase their profitability.

Our goal is to bring products and market innovations to Lima, avoiding customers having to travel to other countries to learn about the latest innovations. PGS is a showcase to observe and discover the latest in technology, in line with market trends."

The challenge of integrating online gambling and land-based casinos into the same industry

"For us, it is very important that the fair is seen as representing the entire industry and not just one segment. Our mission is to keep the industry together.

The reason for our meetings with manufacturers is to try to find a viable formula for them to be present at the fair. Last year we had many more online gambling companies than land-based ones, and we want to change that.

Although online gambling and sports betting represent a significant part of the industry today, land-based casinos are still essential for both operators and their customers. For this reason, we want the next edition of PGS to better reflect the diversity of the sector and contribute to strengthening the links between all its actors."
