(Lima, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Javier Cicciomessere, Sales Director for Latin America of Golden Race, spoke exclusively with SoloAzar during the first day of Peru Gaming Show 2018, held in Lima last week. "The objective we had set for the whole show we have fulfilled so far in the first day," he said.
What are you presenting in this edition of Peru Gaming Show?
We are not only presenting the usual products, but we also have a novelty, which is the 2018 Russia World Cup. The game has been created purely and exclusively with the football teams that are really participating in the World Cup , with the same groups that were formed, with 100% real quotas for real bookmakers, to make it as identical as possible to the World Cup and as if they were really sports bets.
The World Cup started a few days ago. How was the reception of this game?
It was incredible. We have called all our clients. The big customers had already anticipated this issue of what was to come, and to give an idea, Intralot Peru, which is one of our large customers, from the first day and only in the first hour they installed the game had made more than 5000 tickets. In other words, the acceptance is incredible. We have improved the graph. They are all very happy. It is a very good moment during the World Cup. We must bear in mind that for the Latin American schedule we only have three games a day and the games end at 3 o'clock in the afternoon (Latin American Central Time). What do you do the rest of the afternoon? We are offering them to continue betting on the world cup but on a virtual level.
How do you see the PGS this year?
Very good. Really Peru Gaming Show seems to be renewed every year. This year has expanded the number of square meters of stands, which is very good, since it means that there are more exhibitors, a lot of people have come. We are more than satisfied. The objective we had set for the entire show we have fulfilled so far in the first day.
Golden Race has been in Peru for two years. How do you see the current situation in the Peruvian market?
Very good. We really think that it is one of the most mature markets in Latin America. They have a culture where the game is not stigmatized, and that is very important. Everything is operated legally. As in our case, Golden Race has created a company, with bank accounts in the country, we pay our taxes, it is a market where one can work quietly. We are very grateful for the MINCETUR, since Mr. San Román always has the doors open to all of us who are suppliers and operators, to be able to talk about new things and what can and can not be done, and more at this precise moment in which Peru thinks for a few months and to draw an online gambling law, which was what the country lacked. As much as the online gaming companies that are currently working do not have a gaming license, but they do work legally with their created companies and pay their taxes like any other company. It's not that you work in a black market.
I think it is one of the most mature markets, I think that great things are going to be done and, from my humble point of view, I think it is one of the best markets in the whole continent.
What balance can you make of this first semester?
Very good. Golden Race grows continuously. We operate on five continents. Golden Race nowadays is the best company of virtual games, not only for the human quality that is in our company, the numbers also say it. We are the largest in virtual games proper, and the balance is exceptional. We have fulfilled all our semi-annual objectives, thanks to its excellent market. I think we have to keep working in the same way, with the same intensity, since Golden Race does not look back, look at anything other than forward. We are not worried about other companies, we do not care about anything else but giving the best product to all our customers with the best service.
What are the next shows for Golden Race?
For Latin America we conclude the big shows. Obviously we will be at G2E Las Vegas and we intend to participate in the exhibition that takes place in Cartagena in November, since we have a stand there.
