(Lima, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Following the latest edition of the Peru Gaming Show, organizers Joe López and Rubén Solórzano shared their assessment: over 6,000 attendees, strong satisfaction among exhibitors and conference participants, and high interest in technological innovations and payment methods. While operators noted the absence of some manufacturers, both confirmed they are already working on solutions for the next edition, reaffirming their commitment to keeping PGS the key meeting point for the gaming industry in Peru and Latin America.

PGS 2026: Overcoming Competition from the World Cup for Success

The organizers of Peru Gaming Show, Joe López and Rubén Solórzano, offered their overall balance of the 2026 edition in this exclusive interview with SoloAzar.

General Balance of PGS 2026

Q: How do you evaluate the development of the event?
A: We are very pleased with the results of this year’s show. We had excellent participation from both exhibitors and visitors in the exhibition and the conferences. We were competing with the World Cup, so attendance was slightly lower this year, but still very well attended. Most importantly, exhibitors were very satisfied with the traffic. We don’t have the exact numbers yet, but it should be between 6,000 and 7,000 visitors.

Q: What milestones or highlights would you point out from this edition?
A: Without a doubt, the innovations in technology and their impact on games and equipment, payment methods, customer identification systems, etc., were the topics of greatest interest to visitors. We didn’t have the same presence of machine manufacturers as in previous years for different reasons, but we are already working to ensure that the next edition is different.

Industry Response

Q: What kind of feedback did you receive from exhibitors and visitors?
A: As I mentioned, everyone present was very happy with the exhibitors’ content and the conferences. The only negative feedback was that many operators expressed surprise at the absence of some manufacturers. They said that what they used to accomplish in two days at the fair (seeing the products offered by all manufacturers), now takes them more than a week because they have to attend different events. As I mentioned earlier, we are working to see how we can resolve that issue.

PGS: Innovation and Education Under One Roof

Q: From the organization’s perspective, what were the main topics or trends that shaped the agenda?
A: As is our custom, we are always committed to presenting a fair that informs operators about industry innovations and educates them in ways that help increase their operations and profits, all in a safe and enjoyable environment. We strive to do all of this under one roof. We are confident that we achieved this once again in this edition, based on what participants told us and the results we obtained.

Looking Ahead: Improvements and Expectations

Q: What expectations do you have for the next edition of Peru Gaming Show?
A: From the very beginning, we presented PGS as “PGS – A Show for Peru.” At that time, the industry was very divided, and everyone did what was best for themselves. Operators who wanted to see the latest innovations had to obtain visas and passports and spend a fortune traveling long distances to countries like the USA or Europe to attend shows there. When the industry came together under a well-regulated market and began to grow, manufacturers worldwide realized the size of the LatAm market and the tremendous business opportunities.

PGS began bringing everyone together under one roof, giving manufacturers the opportunity to showcase their products and operators the chance to see all available options in just two days, in a safe environment. At AMG, organizers of PGS, we are committed to doing everything possible to maintain what PGS has become and continue bringing the entire industry together. Unfortunately, the absence of some manufacturers this year led many to think it was due to the growth of online gaming, but that is not the case. Both segments work together for the benefit of operators, suppliers, and customers, and we want to reaffirm that in our upcoming 24th edition.
