⏱ 2 min read
(New York).- SBC has fired the starting gun on the race to be crowned the best betting and igaming operators, affiliates, and suppliers in the US and Canada by declaring that nominations for the SBC Awards North America 2022 are open.
The winners of the prestigious awards will be crowned in front of an audience of industry leaders at a lavish ceremony at Pier Sixty in New York City on July 14.
That date is also the final day of SBC Summit North America, the largest dedicated sports betting and igaming conference and tradeshow in the region, guaranteeing that the cream of the industry’s talent will be in town for the occasion.
For 2022, the Awards consist of 26 categories – six for operators. three for affiliates and media, 12 for suppliers, three for payments providers, and two industry-wide honours – with sections for both major players and challenger brands.
Entries can be made free of charge here from today, with the nomination period set to close on April 22, 2022. The shortlists and the eventual victors will be decided by independent judging panels comprising renowned industry experts.
Sue Schneider, VP Growth & Strategy Americas for SBC, said: “It’s been a year of stellar progress for the sports betting and igaming industries in the US and Canada. So many brands in the region have shown themselves to be innovative, creative, and ready to deliver consistently excellent customer service, so the awards promise to be super competitive.
“To claim the win against what are certain to be high-quality shortlists will be a real achievement, and I’m looking forward to discovering which companies the judges identify as the best of the best on what will be another great night at the SBC Awards North America ceremony in July.”
Last year’s winners reflected the success stories of the early stages of regulated sports betting and igaming in the US DraftKings, BetMGM, Bally Interactive, GAN Sports, Entain, Rush Street Interactive, Nuvei, Gambling.com Group, Evolution, IGT PlaySports, and Sportradar were among those lifting trophies.
With representatives of all the shortlisted companies in attendance, the 2021 edition was both a celebration of the industry and a fantastic networking event.
That will be repeated at the SBC Awards North America 2022, with a larger audience of 600 guests being treated to drinks, a three-course dinner, the ceremony itself, and an after-party running into the early hours.
