(Cartagena, SoloAzar Exclusive).- For Sebastián Salat, International President of Zitro, there are two great opportunities in Latam: the regulation of online gaming in countries like Peru and the expected opening of the Brazilian market. This topic and Zitro's presentation at GAT are discussed in the following interview.

What products have you presented at GAT Expo Cartagena 2024? How was the response from the visitors to your stand?

During the show we have presented performance games already demonstrated in recent months in various markets around the world. Among them, 'Fu Frog', 'Fu Pots' and 'Billy the Pig'. These titles are backed by great international success, of which the media has given ample testimony, and reaffirmed in Cartagena their attractiveness to those attending the fair. Along with our offering of proven games, we also present other games such as 'Energy Link' and 'Drum Dynasty', as well as our new concept, 'Mega Lounge', which differentiates Zitro's unique offering in a market where Uniformity of supply reigns, mainly due to the massive import of used equipment.

'Mega Lounge' offers all players playing on Zitro machines in the same room a common progressive jackpot, as well as an impressive community celebration experience enjoyed by all players playing on the 'Mega Lounge' machines. '. ' at the time of obtaining the prize. Operators who bet on Zitro games and, in particular, the 'Mega Lounge' concept, will be able to offer their players exclusive gaming experiences that no other brand can offer.

How do you perceive the Colombian iGaming market in terms of growth and opportunities compared to other countries in the region?

Without a doubt, the Colombian iGaming market has been registering very notable growth, although its expansion is hindered by the same problem that we also suffer in the face-to-face market. I am referring to the long times needed to receive a response from the Colombian regulator, Coljuegos, whether to requests for the installation of machines in a physical casino, or for the deployment of games in an online casino.

Fortunately, at GAT Cartagena, international suppliers were able to meet with Dr. Marco Emilio Hincapié, President of Coljuegos, to explain the difficulties we face and, in particular, to ask for help to reduce the long time required for an operator to . – physical or digital – receive any regulatory approval. I want to publicly thank Mr. President for his time in Cartagena, as well as his commitment to helping manufacturers and operators expedite the aforementioned required authorizations. We, the suppliers, made ourselves available to the President of Coljuegos to help with what is needed, with the hope of being able to continue strengthening our business in Colombia with the fluidity we need, to, in turn, help modernize the gaming industry. in the country.

What do you think about regulatory laws in the region, and how is your firm adapting to it?

There are two big opportunities in Latin America that, fortunately, are being addressed by regulators. Firstly, the regulation of online gambling in various jurisdictions, such as Peru, which will build a safe and orderly environment for the development of this activity. This will generate the legal security that every company in the industry needs to be encouraged to invest. For us, game providers also for digital distribution channels, these initiatives by regulators encourage us to allocate significant resources to the development of innovative products that meet the needs of players in these markets.

Secondly, the long-awaited opening of the Brazilian market, which, with its enormous potential, represents a great opportunity for Zitro. The previous experience of our founder, Johnny Ortiz, in leading the former Brazilian Video Bingo market, together with our current wide range of Video Bingo and Video Slots, and other products that we will reveal in due course, positions Zitro as the one that will be the reference supplier in this future market, since, without a doubt, we know how to satisfy the preferences of the Brazilian player like no one else.
