(Sofia).- The 11th edition of the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo (BEGE), along with the run-in-tandem Eastern European Gaming Summit, cemented a dual success for the show and also for Merkur Gaming.

Sofia success for Merkur Gaming

BEGE has grown and evolved as now the benchmark trade show for the eastern Europe and Balkan region, attracting once again a multi-international audience and an increase in both floor space and new exhibitors. Merkur Gaming has been exhibiting in Bulgaria every year since 2016, increasing its stand space each time, and also increasing its market penetration year on year. The Gauselmann Group company is now recognized as being a top level supplier to the region generally and to Bulgaria in particular. This year, operator visitors to BEGE came from locations as diverse as Greece, North Cyprus, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Romania and, of course, Bulgaria itself; all adding to the crowds that thronged the show halls from opening time to the close of two frenetic days.

The Merkur Gaming booth displayed more than 120 individual games and its top range of cabinets, including the brand new Allegro Curve as well as the Merkurstar, Avantgarde and Evostar models.

Athanasios ‘Sakis’ Isaakidis, Merkur Gaming’s Chief Executive, International, was full of praise for BEGE, saying: “Once again, BEGE has proved to be an excellent show for us. We have been pleased to connect with our customers and to make important new contacts. The importance of the Balkan region, and particularly Bulgaria, for Merkur Gaming cannot be overstated and we congratulate the organisers of BEGE for providing an excellent forum for us to business.”

International Sales Director, Markus Wessler, was also full of praise for BEGE. He said: ”With a track record that now spans eleven years, BEGE is a story of success and expansion. I am particularly pleased that Merkur Gaming has also made its mark so positively over the past three years. We look forward to expansion throughout eastern Europe and will continue to bring new gaming entertainment innovations here in the coming years.”
