Sportradar seals partnership with Brazil’s National Basketball League at BiS SiGMA South America 2026

Strategic importance of Brazil

“Sportradar’s participation in BiS SiGMA South America 2026 reflects the strategic importance of Brazil as one of the most relevant newly regulated markets globally. As the market moves from structuring to execution, being present in key industry forums becomes essential to engage with operators, regulators and partners shaping this next phase. The event also provided a strong platform to showcase our capabilities and contribute to discussions around technology, integrity and sustainability, which are increasingly central to the market’s development,” said Silveira in a post-show Q&A with SoloAzar.

Positive exhibitor experience and key partnerships

He then spoke about the firm's two dedicated booths at the show. “Our experience as exhibitors was very positive, marked by strong engagement and meaningful participation across the event. We had two dedicated stands: one for Sportradar and another for Playradar, our recently launched iGaming brand, allowing us to showcase our portfolio in a more dynamic and tangible way to different audiences. We also announced a partnership with the Brazilian National Basketball League (LNB), through which Sportradar will provide data and audiovisual streaming services, as well as integrity monitoring, supporting the league’s growth, fan engagement and long-term development. One of the key highlights was the announcement of an educational integrity platform developed in partnership with ANJL, the Ministry of Sport and Esportes da Sorte, reinforcing the importance of prevention and awareness in a regulated environment. We also contributed to panels covering topics such as integrity, market readiness for the FIFA World Cup 2026, and the convergence of physical and digital gaming. What stood out most was the quality of the dialogue, with more focused and practical discussions across the industry."

Showcasing Playradar and iGaming innovations

“A key highlight was the presentation of Playradar, our new iGaming brand launched shortly before the event. Showcased through a dedicated space, Playradar represents a new approach to user engagement, combining sports data, live content and gaming mechanics into more immersive and interactive experiences. Building on this, we placed a strong emphasis on our iGaming solutions, which were recently introduced to the Brazilian market and reflect our commitment to delivering innovative and tailored offerings for this rapidly evolving segment. SiGMA provided an important opportunity to reinforce this positioning and engage with a broader audience. Alongside this, we showcased Sportradar’s broader portfolio of solutions, including real-time data, audiovisual streaming, marketing services and integrity capabilities. Our focus is on delivering an integrated ecosystem that supports operators across the entire value chain, from player acquisition and engagement to retention, compliance and risk management.”

Opportunities in Brazil and Latin America

Silveira also affirmed that Brazil stands out as one of the most promising regulated markets globally, combining strong user engagement with a rapidly evolving regulatory framework, creating significant opportunities to support operators in building sustainable and compliant businesses.

“Looking ahead, the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be a key milestone, marking the first edition held in a fully regulated environment in Brazil. It will drive new levels of fan engagement while raising expectations around performance, reliability and integrity across the industry. For Sportradar, our role is to ensure partners have the infrastructure, data and solutions required to operate at this level, including real-time data delivery, scalable systems, and tools that support both engagement and risk management. At the same time, integrity remains a core priority, as events of this scale require heightened levels of monitoring and coordination. The World Cup will not only drive growth but also set a new benchmark for how the market operates moving forward,” he concluded.
