(Madrid, SoloAzar Exclusive).- John Wright, CEO and co-founder of StatsDrone, shared with SoloAzar his insights after participating in the AffPapa Conference Madrid 2026. He discussed how the company presented its new analytics platform NousViz, the feedback received from attendees, and the strategic goals driving StatsDrone’s expansion in the iGaming and affiliate marketing industries.
John Wright is CEO and co-founder of StatsDrone, a business intelligence and data analytics software platform specifically designed for iGaming and affiliate marketers. His career spans over 20 years in the affiliate marketing and iGaming industries, where he has worked as a professional gambler, affiliate manager, SEO consultant, and website owner.
In a Q&A granted to SoloAzar, he shared insights about his participation at recent AffPapa Conference Madrid.

NousViz Plugins Impress Affiliates with Analytics, SEO Tools, and Sentiment Insights
“We've been building analytics solutions for StatsDrone customers for over a year and we've turned it into it's own product called NousViz. The feedback from it was more than what we were expecting and hoping for. We worked hard to get the NousViz plugins ready for the show. The platform has existed for a while but the plugins are what make the app useful. I was able to showcase my SEO plugins for Google Analytics with LLM data and Cloudflare analytics with Googlebot detection that shows issues if Googlebot is struggling to crawl your site. My co-founder Darrell Helyar built a suite of plugins for Slack, Jira and Intercom. The plugins that got the most attention were the Slack one he built that had sentiment analysis built in. Overall, people were commenting that NousViz was like their business brain,” said Wright.
Global Reach and Conference Commitment Drive StatsDrone’s Growth in iGaming and Finance
In response to a question about how StatsDrone presented its SaaS solutions at the AFFPapa conference, John Wright said: “I don't think we have a secret to this other than we believe the iGaming industry lives and breathes in Europe and other parts of the world. I'd like to say it does this in Canada and USA but the money is there but the industry talent and affiliates are really based in Europe. We just know that meeting people in person is important and we make the commitment to go to conferences both to pick up new business and to understand any changes in the iGaming and finance industries.”

When asked if he could share more about the latest tools or projects, he pointed the following: “We have delayed working on affiliate network tools for a long time for many reasons. Our competitors almost all have affiliate network tools but we don't. We wanted to focus more on the data analytics including shaving detection. Now that we have this, our analytics tool is now NousViz and we think this is valuable for affiliate networks. Now we can build an affiliate network easier with our own NousViz tool.”
Strategic Priorities: Big Data, Transparency, and Smarter Traffic Optimization
Regarding the strategic goals the firm aims to achieve in the coming year, he answered: “We've been wanting to get into the big data space for years and we now have a starting chance at this. By having our advanced suite of tools, we are now able to offer better tools for affiliates and offer the ability to collect affiliate data with permission and to anonymze it and share the collection of results. We think this can help everyone in the industry understand what brands are good in any GEO so affiliates can optimimize their traffic,” he concluded.
