"The Argentine market is too late in terms of online gaming"

What are you presenting in this edition of SAGSE?

As a final tour of the year, after having participated in all shows in Latin America and the world, we are presenting here the 360 offer of solutions for the world of iGaming: the GolSport platform, which is the sports betting platform with more than 30 thousand events that we present monthly; the Gol Live platform, which has more than 100 live casino rooms from various casinos around the world (such as Barcelona, Estonia, Romania, Thailand, the Philippines, Costa Rica, etc); the Lotto Gol platform, which is a solution for lotteries; the platform of payment methods with more than 240 integrated payment methods; the Gol Investor platform, which is the new thing that we are introducing in the market, which is a trading platform where we present FOR X PRO BINARY OPTIONS, are binary options, and simple, these are similar to what is sports bet but the world financial with the stock markets; and we always have the video slots solution online.

How do you see the show in its 25th edition?

Everybody is very enthusiastic about these 25 years. You can see that the stands are bigger, in fact our stand is double the size compared to last year. The leading companies have also doubled in size, we see the people of the sector and each company doing its own event within the event, inviting its customers.

How do you see the Argentine market with respect to the company's products?

The Argentine market is too late in making decisions to offer licenses to online gambling operators, be it from traditional casinos to the online world or for operators that may come from abroad. Some provinces are giving certain types of permits under provincial jurisdiction, but they still have the problem of not knowing how to regulate because they do not know the technology. Controlling, the online game is much more transparent: it has anti-money laundering control because you know which person plays, how much you win, what type of play you made; has control of minority and also has control of pathological gambling, that is, if a person does not want to play more and reports it to the competent body, directly the page will have it blocked. Argentina still has a lot to do, but the most important thing is that Argentina is going 2,500 million dollars per year abroad through the Argentines who play online. This could be the other way around, that they give some kind of national permit or license and that all that money is left in Argentina and that even Argentina captures income, through bets and entertainment from other parts of the world, and brings assets to Argentina, instead of them leaving.

Did you have the opportunity to talk with a regulator about that?

No. We participate in some conferences but in Argentina the provinces go separately, each province has its box, they administer the lotteries in a way that was done 20 years ago because they have some type of fear of the new, the unknown and many are afraid to sign some resolution or give some permission, knowing that they will have a problem. There are important politicians who do not want to know practically anything about the game, but it does not help to ignore it because it is and is going outside, so it is better to control it and stay in Argentina.

How is the present of the company in the Latin American market?

Today we are working with the national lottery in Ecuador, we are providing 100% of the content, next year we are launching the sportbook. In Peru we have opened our first points of sale of the brand. In Chile we are launching the first week of December, 100% online. We have obtained the license for Mexico at the national level. And in the Dominican Republic, where there are only three online gambling licenses, we have one of those three licenses and we are launching. For now those are the markets where we are participating.

What is your assessment of the year?

The balance is very good, we have worked a lot on the part of what is the legal framework and regulations to be the company 100% legal and be tailored to each country and in that way to be participating.
