(United States).- DraftKings, Entain, BetMGM, Catena North America, Caesars Sportsbook, Better Collective, Sportradar and White Hat Gaming were among the companies to celebrate victories at the SBC Awards North America 2022.
The ceremony was hosted by YES Network Yankees Clubhouse reporter Meredith Maravokitz, with the winners of the 27 operator, affiliate, supplier and payment and compliance categories announced in front of 600 senior executives.
Cristian Robalino, VP Marketing, Americas, at SBC, said: “The second edition of SBC Awards North America saw some fierce competition among the shortlisted companies.
“I would like to congratulate all the winners selected by the expert judges and, at the same time, celebrate all those who made it onto the shortlist for contributing to the growth of the North American sports betting and igaming industry.”
DraftKings extended its dominance in the Sportsbook of the Year category after being named the winner for the second consecutive year, while also collecting the Employer of the Year award. BetMGM was another company that managed to maintain the winner status after triumphing in the Casino Operator of the Year category.
The victors in the operator section of the awards also included Entain Group (Socially Responsible Operator of the Year), who repeated their inaugural SBC Awards North America success in the same category. Caesars Sportsbook (Marketing Campaign & Sponsorship of the Year) and Design Works Gaming (Social Gaming Operator of the Year) also triumphed.
The ceremony also honoured FanDuel’s Amy Howe, who was presented with the Leader of the Year award for her contribution to the overall success of the industry.
Robalino added: “It is not an easy task to be a leader in this fast-paced, competitive industry. Big congratulations to Amy Howe, who proved that a strong female leader in our industry should be a norm, not an exception.”
The affiliates and media section saw Gambling.com named Sports Affiliate of the Year and Catena North America securing the equivalent Casino Affiliate of the Year award. Better Collective triumphed in the Sports Media Company of the Year category.
In the supplier section, the fiercely contested Sportsbook Supplier of the Year title went to OpenBet while the equivalent Casino Supplier of the Year title went to Light & Wonder.
