(Barcelona, Exclusive SoloAzar).– At a decisive moment for the consolidation of Brazil’s regulated betting and gaming market, ICE Barcelona 2026 takes a strategic step by creating an exclusive space dedicated to Brazil: Casa Brasil. In this interview, Magnho José, Brazil’s Ambassador to the show, analyzes the significance of this role, the concrete opportunities for Brazilian and Latin American companies, and explains why ICE Barcelona 2026 is positioning itself as a must-attend event for the global betting, gaming, and lottery industry.
What does it mean to you to be Brazil’s Ambassador at ICE Barcelona 2026, and what will be your main objective in this role?
First of all, I feel absolutely honored and deeply grateful to Clarion Gaming for the trust and for appointing me as Brazil’s Ambassador at ICE Barcelona. I take on this role with great responsibility, as our main objective is to maximize the promotion of the Barcelona show, which will take place in January next year.
Beyond promoting the event itself, our focus will be on enhancing and facilitating the participation of Brazilian companies and professionals, ensuring that more representatives from Brazil have the opportunity to attend one of the most important events in the global gaming industry.
Casa Brasil will be one of the major highlights of ICE Barcelona 2026. What can Brazilian companies expect from this space?
Casa Brasil is undoubtedly one of the major highlights and represents an important milestone for the Brazilian market. In January, we will mark one year since the regulation of fixed-odds betting and online gaming in Brazil, opening a new chapter for the sector.
This new scenario significantly expands opportunities for Brazilian operators, suppliers, and investors. ICE Barcelona will be a decisive platform to debate, analyze, and leverage these opportunities, and Casa Brasil is designed precisely as a strategic meeting point to foster this dialogue.
What concrete opportunities does ICE Barcelona offer to companies from Latin America and Brazil?
Brazilian attendees at ICE Barcelona can expect an extremely positive and welcoming reception. In addition, the event provides valuable opportunities to discuss key topics, such as the assessment of the first twelve months of gaming regulation in Brazil.
Participants will also be able to closely follow discussions regarding the legalization of land-based gaming in the country, as well as discover other developments that may directly impact the market. ICE offers a unique environment for sharing experiences, exchanging insights with leading global players, and engaging directly with regulators.
At a key moment for the regulation of the Brazilian market, what message does ICE Barcelona send by creating a space exclusively for Brazil?
ICE, through Clarion Gaming and Clarion Events, plays a fundamental role in advancing the legalization and regulation process of betting, gaming, and lotteries in Brazil.
Over recent years, Clarion’s events in Brazil have been essential in demystifying and reducing the stigma that still surrounds gambling and betting activities. This shift in perception is crucial for the consolidation of a more mature, responsible, and sustainable market.
Why will ICE Barcelona 2026 be a must-attend event for players in the betting, gaming, and lottery industry?
ICE Barcelona is undoubtedly a must-attend event for everyone involved in the industry. Since the days when the show was held in London, Brazilian participation has always been strong.
In the most recent edition, already in Barcelona, Brazil’s presence was even more significant, highlighting the growing importance of the event. Today, ICE has established itself as the world’s largest trade show in the sector, bringing together all the key global industry players.
I often say that what truly makes a difference at trade shows is not just the stands or the exhibitions, but the people. The networking built during these events is the most valuable aspect, as it is through these interactions that new opportunities, strategic partnerships, and a stronger global gaming community are created.
