(Argentina, SoloAzar Exclusive).- More than a year after major changes had to be made in our work and social routines around the world due to the Covid-19 pandemic, SoloAzar exclusively interviewed Alejandra Muñiz, Sales Manager from GST, who commented the process that the company had to go through.
What assessment can you make one year after the start of the pandemic, in terms of the current situation of the sector?
We see that the sector is one of the most affected industries, and at the moment there is still uncertainty about the end of the restrictions.
It is very encouraging to see that operators have every intention of adjusting and investing to comply with protocols and protect both customers and employees.
What challenges did you have to face as a company?
The work dynamics did not change. Teleworking started immediately and it paid off. We were affected by the closure of operations and therefore the low collection, but that served as a trigger to face new projects.
In what subject could you have results above your expectations within the current situation? Did you have any unexpected opportunities?
All QA procedures were adjusted to further improve the product. Today we can say that we achieve a differential product of the highest quality.
So we also began to explore omnichannel to have different product lines.
We already have experience applications for the player, together with the administration mobile applications and the online gaming platform integrated into SIAC, our Landbased management system.
How would you describe the profile of the average gambler today? What are your tastes and demands?
The player's profile has changed very little, taking online gambling alternatives and adapting to digital channels in every sense.
Those who like to visit the rooms will continue to do so with restrictions and care. Alternatively new Online Casino players are pulling new bets and recommending regulated sites to new players. In a niche in full development and that we understand, it does not compete with the traditional game.
What are the latest trends in technology, games and habits that you think will be here to stay in 2021?
The hyperconnectivity of this era gives a boost to online gaming and all associated technologies. This is a key opportunity to accelerate product development as in GST.
What are the most important markets for the company at the moment?
GST is dedicated to providing continuous improvement solutions in Argentina and the southern cone region, although we are finding opportunities in Africa, Central America and Mexico.
Do you think that the legislation on gambling is accompanying the present moment?
There was a delay in regulating online gambling activity and today it is surprising the speed and attention that the control bodies are devoting.
This will benefit market development and enable the application of new technologies.
