Internet gaming revenue hits an all-time high in Pennsylvania

(Pennsylvania).- Casino games offered online generated the highest amount of revenue to date in October, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said.
Casino internet games generated gross revenue of more than $124.5 million in October 2022, a 21% increase from the nearly $102.9 million in October 2021. October’s total exceeded the more than $118.1 million generated in March 2022.
Mohegan Pennsylvania generated more than $2.1 million in internet gaming revenue, including nearly $1.6 million in internet slots revenue and nearly $526,000 in internet table games revenue.
Mount Airy Casino Resort in Monroe County generated more than $4.2 million in total internet gaming revenue, including about $1.6 million in internet slots revenue, nearly $1.1 million in internet table games revenue and more than $1.5 million in internet poker revenue.
Tax revenue generated from internet gaming during October 2022 also was the highest monthly amount to date at more than $52.7 million.
The board also reported that combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming along with fantasy contests during October was more than $450.2 million, a 5.7% increase over the revenue generated last October.
While overall gaming revenue increased statewide, total revenue decreased about 8% at Mohegan Pennsylvania to about $19.8 million in October and total revenue declined about 4% at Mount Airy Casino Resort to about $21 million.
Total tax revenue generated collectively through all forms of gaming and fantasy contests was about $183.7 million during October.
The total sports wagering handle in October statewide was more than $797.1 million, nearly a 2.7% increase from last October.
That included a total handle of about $10.3 million generated at Mount Airy and about $7.55 million at Mohegan Pennsylvania.
