MGM is gaming partner of Las Vegas Raiders

(Las Vegas).- MGM is now the official gaming partner of the Las Vegas Raiders. MGM Resorts International CEO Jim Murren made the announcement this morning at Mandalay Bay with Raiders President Marc Badain and a host of officials from both organizations.
Murren said MGM will have a robust presence in and around Allegiant Stadium, the $2 billion facility under construction across Interstate 15 from Mandalay Bay. “I don’t think you’re going to miss the fact that MGM is around when you go into the stadium,” Murren said. “There’s going to be a lot of signage, but this isn’t a signage or sponsorship deal in our view. It’s a true partnership.”
“We’re going to create the world’s best tailgate experience,” Murren said. “Between Mandalay Bay and Luxor, we have a lot of property. It will be something that you will not see at another stadium in the United States.”
The announcement, which featured former Raiders players such as Jim Plunkett and Darren McFadden, capped a big week for the NFL, the Raiders and Las Vegas.
The league announced plans this week for the NFL Draft in Las Vegas April 23-25, and the team announced Wednesday that it is now officially the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders are moving here after 25 years in Oakland, California.
