(Las Vegas).- An attorney for the city of Reno has been appointed to serve on the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Gov. Joe Lombardo's office announced Chandeni Sendall officially begins her four-year term on the board this week. She takes over from Brittnie Watkins, whose term expired earlier this month.
Sendall has been a Reno deputy city attorney since 2015, practicing in the civil division. Before joining the city of Reno, she worked in private practice in civil and commercial litigation.
She also worked as an in-house legal intern and an internal auditor for Caesars Entertainment.
"With her unique background in law and compliance, Chandeni will bring fresh insight and critical perspective to the Board," Lombardo said in a statement. "I look forward to her leadership and contributions to gaming oversight in our state."
The Gaming Control Board regulates gaming compliance around Nevada. Its enforcement division serves as the law enforcement arm for the Nevada Gaming Commission.
