GLI® Secures Official Regulatory Listing in Uzbekistan

GLI® has been recognized by Uzbekistan’s National Agency of Perspective Projects, allowing operators and suppliers to use GLI certification reports to support the launch of gaming products in the emerging Central Asian market.

The recognition provides operators and suppliers with a compliant route to market, allowing them to rely on GLI certification reports when launching gaming products in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan moves into the operational phase

The development comes as Uzbekistan’s regulated gaming market enters its operational phase. According to GLI, four licenses have already been issued to two operators, signaling continued progress in the establishment of the country’s new regulatory framework.

For GLI, the official listing represents an important milestone and strengthens its presence in Uzbekistan, an emerging market in Central Asia.

The company said the recognition also highlights its experience supporting regulators, operators and suppliers in newly regulated and developing jurisdictions worldwide.

Ongoing dialogue with NAPP

Earlier in August, GLI representatives and NAPP leadership met to discuss Uzbekistan’s new regulatory framework and explore how the testing laboratory can support the market's long-term development.

GLI noted that parts of the technical framework are still being established. As a result, the company remains in active discussions with NAPP as the regulator continues to refine the requirements governing the market.
