(Lansing, Michigan).- The MGCB warns residents about the dangers of unlicensed gambling platforms, emphasizing the risks of fraud, lack of consumer protections, and violation of state laws.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued cease-and-desist letters to six unlicensed online casinos operating illegally in the state. The platforms targeted include:
Fortune Horizon Casino
Goat Spins Casino
High Roller Casino
Slots.Iv
True Fortune Casino
Vegas Gems Casino
MGCB’s Warning to Players
“These sites try to attract players with flashy ads and promises of big wins, but the reality is far riskier: no oversight, no consumer protections, and no guarantee you’ll ever see your money again,” said Henry Williams, MGCB Executive Director.
Williams stressed that Michigan law requires all operators to be licensed, and the board will continue to take action against illegal platforms to safeguard players from predatory and unregulated gambling.
Legal Violations and Consumer Risks
The unlicensed casinos were found in violation of several state laws, including the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and sections of the Michigan Penal Code.
Unlike regulated operators, illegal gambling sites:
Do not undergo independent testing.
Fail to comply with responsible gaming standards.
Provide no consumer protections or financial safeguards.
Protecting Players in Michigan
“Illegal operators often copy familiar names or logos to trick people,” Williams warned. “We want Michiganders to know how to protect themselves and where to find legitimate, safe entertainment.”
The MGCB continues to encourage residents to play only on licensed, regulated platforms to ensure a secure gaming experience.
