PlayCity announced the creation of a registry of players: how to limit access to gambling

Announcement of the tender for the creation of the Registry of persons restricted from gambling

The State Agency PlayCity has announced a tender for the development of a Registry that will allow players to independently limit their participation in gambling, as well as control the participation of their close ones through a special electronic cabinet. Among the key innovations are integration with the 'Diya' portal, automation of record-keeping, protection of personal data, verification of the presence of persons in the Registry, and collection of statistical information with subsequent creation of analytical reports for industry control.

  • The estimated cost of development is UAH 1.78 million.
  • The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the tender is until October 26, 2025, and the final deadline for completion of work is scheduled for December 15, 2025.

Protection systems when improving the gambling Register

“We are starting to improve an important regulatory tool for the industry - the Registry, which helps people protect themselves or their loved ones from the negative impact of gambling,” said the head of the State Agency for Regulation of Gambling and Lottery Business Hennadii Novikov.

By the end of 2025, the launch of the State Online Monitoring System in the field of gambling is planned, which will monitor the activities of legal casinos. This system will account for all financial transactions, allowing the state to more accurately track the amounts of taxes paid.

The expansion and improvement of the Registry of persons prohibited from participating in gambling indicates a general desire to strengthen control over the gambling business and protect citizens from the negative consequences of gambling in modern information society.
