(Madrid).- The PSPV announces a proposal to eliminate changes in the gaming law that regulates this rule. The PP and Vox approved the law to support the 2024 Budgets, which was considered "fiscal relief", with the opposition voting against, which focused its criticism on what it described as the modification "behind the door" of the gambling law to "favor" gambling houses.
This is how the trustees of the four groups expressed themselves in statements prior to the plenary session that approved this law. The superintendent of the PP, Miguel Barrachina, has stated that "just a year ago, at this point in the Plenary Session, there was still an internal battle in the Council, fighting over the amendments and their presentation."
"Here, fortunately, there was no problem, it was processed normally, prematurely, and today the monitoring law allows us to put an end to the fiscal hell that we Valencians suffer," he stated.
On behalf of Vox, the new trustee, José María Llanos, has indicated that the draft Measures Law is "very good." "We will not say perfect because it cannot be, but it is the best Bill of Measures that could have been presented for the well-being of Valencians after 8 years of the Botanist whose only goal has been to reward his friends, to create sectarianism and raise rates and taxes," he stated.
The new trustee of the PSPV-PSOE, José Muñoz, has also highlighted that this is a law that "exclusively benefits a minority of Valencians": "It is a law that lowers taxes on those with greater economic capacity and harms the vast majority of Valencians.”
Likewise, he has pointed out that the biggest losers are also young people because the PP "has eliminated the distance of 800 meters from gambling houses, schools and institutes", a decision "highly criticized by parents' associations and by people and workers who fight against gambling addiction.
On behalf of Compromís, Joan Baldoví has criticized that this is a "law that forgives taxes for the richest" while "it ignores" a Compromís proposal so that the water fee bonus reaches "99% of the population."
In short, "it is a bad law and therefore it will count in the vote against Compromís" and he has defended: "Tax relief is what we propose." "There is tax relief for those who need it least," he added.
