(Brasilia).- The Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gaming (IBJR in its original) announced Angelo Alberoni as its technical director on Tuesday 21st May. The executive will take on the leadership of the institute's technical agenda, which currently prioritises and monitors the publication of the Ministry of Finance's ordinances, detailing the requirements and rites foreseen for the Brazilian betting market.

Angelo Alberoni appointed technical director of IBJR

With more than 15 years' experience in the betting sector, Alberoni is general director of Novibet, Fortaleza's title sponsor in Brazil. He has also worked for other important companies in the sector, such as Betsson, Betcris and Betmotion.

“Taking on the role of IBJR technical director is an exciting challenge in my career. The institute has a strong presence in discussions about how the sector can move forward, and I will work to bring new angles to this conversation”’ said Alberoni.

For the institute's CEO, André Gelfi, Alberoni brings to the IBJR the experience of having been part of some of the main bookmakers operating in the national market.

“The IBJR's choice to appoint Angelo Alberoni as the new technical director follows the institute's proposal to continue evolving with the work done so far. An endeavour to fight for a legal and constantly growing Brazilian sector,” he said.
