Dr Mintas nominated in Leaders Under 40 Awards

Leaders Sports Awards, to be held as part of Leaders Week London on October 9^th, recognises those who shape the future of sport and Dr Mintas’ work over the past 12 months impressed a judging panel of more than 100 esteemed sports industry experts.

Dr Mintas recently opened our office in New York, which has grown from three employees in March 2017 to 35 currently. In January 2017 she began to lead the process of Sportradar’s transition from a data provider to an innovative product solutions company, with the first products on the market in July 2017.

In October 2017, she led Sportradar US’s multimillion-dollar acquisition of MOCAP Analytics Inc. and also negotiated a multiyear partnership with the NBA and Second Spectrum that will expand the league’s global distribution of statistics and will implement a new, state-of-the-art league-wide player-tracking system. Her team also signed new contracts and deepened relationships with Google, Amazon, Yahoo, ESPN, Bleacher Report, Microsoft, Intel, IBM, Nike, and Comcast.

Laila has also recently spearheaded Sportradar’s regulatory work as we meet with policy makers to help shape an ecosystem that is fair for fans, leagues and bookmakers.

The Leaders Under 40 Awards is now into its fourth year of identifying and recognising exceptional individuals under the age of 40 who are consistently pushing boundaries to move the sports industry forward.
