Playdium receives top marks from ACOS visitors

(London).- “A memorable edition full of energy and optimism for the future of the jukebox industry” is how Toby Hoyte, TouchTunes’ Sales and Marketing Manager, chose to describe last week’s ACOS, which marked the first anniversary of the launch of the Playdium to a UK audience of operators. In the 12 months following the arrival of what commentators now refer to as the ´world’s smartest jukebox’, TouchTunes has made great inroads to the market with over 50 operators siting the Playdium in pubs, clubs and other entertainment locations throughout the country.
The 2017 edition of ACOS, which, according to Hoyte, was well attended by music operators, provided another opportunity to press home the features which have made Playdium the best performing jukebox on the market as well as the financial model which enables operators to pay just £14.50 a week and pay for their Playdium over three years. He stated: “This is a win win for operators and the response has been outstanding. The market has been campaigning long and hard for a business model which does away with flat music fees. We have listened to that and moved accordingly to scrap flat fees and replace them with a simple 18% of the cashbox. In reality we are backing ourselves such is the faith that we have in Playdium which is breathing new life into the music sector.”
He added: “Our deferred payment deal also makes the earning potential of the Playdium accessible to operators of all sizes and budgets, which is very important for the overall health of the industry in this country. Operators are also experiencing the benefits of providing Playdium as part of a technology package which also comprises the new generation of digital cat C gaming machines. Successful operators are investing in their music offer in the knowledge that sites can be won because of the jukebox. ACOS has been good for us and I believe that we will be increasing our share of the market as a result. I should also add that credit should be paid to the organisers for putting on such a strong event in such difficult circumstances. In many ways ACOS showed the industry at its very best.”
