(Brussels).-The International Betting Integrity Association is the leading global voice on integrity for the licensed betting industry. Their members share a common goal of combating betting corruption to protect the integrity of sport and of their businesse
Established in 2005, The International Betting Integrity Association are a not-for-profit association whose members include many of the world’s largest regulated betting operators, active across six continents. Members undergo a rigorous due diligence process and must adhere to our code of conduct committing them to responsible betting practices.
As part of the IBIA Integrity Team, the role is to ensure compliance with IBIA’s licenses and reporting requirements globally. The successful candidate will also review suspicious betting alerts and assist in further developing the IBIA alert platform that monitors irregular and suspicious betting activity. This will involve managing communication and data provision with gambling regulators, national integrity platforms and individual sports governing bodies.
Specific duties include;
• Assist the operator reporting process liaising with individual members on alert responses.
To assess the evidence provided on irregular betting, seek additional information if required and decide on any action, such as reporting to stakeholders.
• Undertake scheduled reporting, prepare management information and help maintain compliance with IBIA’s licenses in North America and elsewhere
• To analyse and report regularly on the alert process, member responses, results and further action.
• Analysis of alerting trends, patterns and the identification of high-risk areas relevant to members market offering.
• To develop the functionality of the alert platform database.
• To develop and enhance relationships with integrity reporting officers within regulators, national platforms and sports governing bodies.,
• Work on ad-hoc projects and other work depending on the needs of the association and its members.
Due to the nature of this role, employment will consist of flexible working hours, which will include working weekends. It is envisaged that the role will be undertaken remotely and all necessary support and training will be provided.
Profile:
• Good sporting knowledge, particularly of tennis, football and US sports
• Experience of working in the betting industry is desirable but not essential.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret betting patterns.
• The ability to self-manage the workload and work under pressure.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and knowledge of one other language, particularly Portuguese or Spanish, is desirable.
• Strong IT skills – experience using Microsoft Excel and Power-Bi etc.
• Basic project management and implementation skills.
• Motivated self-starter.
